"Where have all the lightweights gone?" (sniderjadam09)

A couple nights ago after work, I was stuck on an off-ramp notorious for backing up for long periods of time and distance. As the exit lanes started, I merged over and saw an asshat riding the shoulder.
When I saw him on the shoulder, I immediately started straddling the white line, forcing him over. The closest he got to me was a 1 car buffer, and that was all I needed. He tried multiple times to pop onto the shoulder, and each time I moved over, effectively blocking his escape route. The car in front of me also started moving onto the shoulder after sensing what was going on.
After multiple thwarted attempts to enrage a 1/2 mile long queue of cars, I opened my sunroof and gave him a Dikembe Mutombo finger wave, letting him know he's not going anywhere. The cars both in front of me and behind me saw this and started laughing. The asshat got the point, and stopped trying to dive onto the shoulder.
A wild pack of Aussie V8 Supercars for your time.

i've done this. we were crawling at 5 mph on the highway. dude was coming up in the breakdown lane, i moved over and kept him behind me for a while. my wife told me to cut the crap and move over so I did and the guy infront of me picked up where I left off. I dont think there is anything that would bring people together better than bringing down an asshole

It's like you get a sense of camaraderie from it.

Sad to say, I am sometimes that asshat. Only rarely though. Congrats for holding us in check :)

I've often thought about doing that. Then I worry that it's like the one time out of a million that it's a guy rushing to the hospital because his mom is dying or something.
